To date the Friedman Amplification® site does not list which endorsers use the DIRTY SHIRLEY 112™ full size cab in the studio or on stage. If you spot somebody using the DIRTY SHIRLEY 112™ cab, please let me know and I will gladly add them to my site in this space.
To my ears, Friedman Amplification® produces the best of the hot-rodded Marshall® type guitar tones that you can get without sacrificing your vintage Marshall® to the black arts of the amp modding wizards. Friedman® amps are very versatile tone machines in the right hands with the right instrument. The cabs that Friedman Amplification® builds are some of the best sounding Marshall® style cabs produced since they are tuned so well to produce a tone that pleasantly cuts in a mix at gig volume, with a non-abrasive tonality, and over engineered to such an extent that you will probably deafen people before blowing a speaker.
The Dirty Shirley™ is said to be the dream marriage of a 2203™ or 2204™ preamp section with the reliable power amp section of a JTM™ type amplifier, it's a rock machine that can do modern county, alternative, metal, pop, and fusion with ease. Likewise the DIRTY SHIRLEY 112™ guitar amp cab I captured is like the best open back JTM™ 1X12 cab you came across, a little raucous sounding or lively, but never abrasive. This cab works with so many amp models, you will be shocked at what it can do.
