Historical Info (Click Here)
In the mid to late 1970s as well as early 1980s, this Mesa Boogie® Mark I™ extension 1X12 cab was the extension cab that many lusted after, if they were looking for more projection from their Mesa Boogie® Mark I™, Mark I™, or other combo amps.
The cab design along with the use of the Electro-Voice® EVM-12L™ 12 inch speakers meant that one could cut through a mix both live and in a studio quite easily. It’s the sound of a certain kind of rock historically.
But this cab is not just a “plays well with one type of amp” or “plays only rock” type of cab. You can use this cab in a great variety of genres and with a variety of amp sims to achieve really compelling tones.
