Inspired Model Recorded as Impulse Response (IR) Files: SWR® Super Redhead™ 2X10 with Horn Tweeter
Speakers Loaded in Model Captured: Two 10 inch proprietary woofers with Horn Tweeter.
A note about the tweeter: This edition of Super Redhead™ did not have the crossover mounted in the sealed cabinet like some variants shown on the web. Instead this version had the tweeter crossover built into the combo amp circuitry, which I did not use for captures. As a result, the impulse response (ir) file captures always have the tweeter in the “on” position.

Historical Info (Click Here)
Introduced in the 1990’s, the SWR® Super Redhead™ became the standard bass combo in the big name Los Angeles (LA) studio scene of that era. You can hear the combo’s sound all over the smooth jazz radio station hits of the era as well as on many notable pop hits of that time, when a more hi-fidelity bass sound was in demand. Debates rage among bass players whether that sound was a mid-range scoop or a mid-range honk, but you can dial in either of those desired variants with this collection.
